It is our pleasure to welcome you to Tiradentes in 2022 for the 18th Brazilian Meeting on Organic Synthesis.

BMOS is the largest scientific event dedicated to Organic Chemistry in Latin America and aims to bring together scientists from all the parts of the world to share the most important findings in the frontier of science. We wish to invite you to take part in this exciting meeting which will bring together the very best in Brazilian Organic Synthesis and colleagues from all over the world.

The Front Cover shows a traditional steam locomotive, known in Brazil as Maria Fumaça. Preserving the memory of the railway that connects São João del Rei to Tiradentes, historic cities in the state of Minas Gerais, the locomotive is still in operation nowadays and represents part of the historical heritage of Minas Gerais. The Maria Fumaça in the image is on a journey to Tiradentes with scientists and their organic molecules for the 18th Brazilian Meeting on Organic Synthesis (18th BMOS). We would like to thank Prof. Marcelo S. Valle from the Federal University of São João del-Rei for his dedication in preparing the image.
